A Midsummer Night's Dream
Author: Shakespeare William
A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of Shakespeare’s early comedies, but while the play had a fair share of humor and comic relief, was dominated by the theme on love. A Midsummer Night’s Dream follows three couples in their pursuit of love which, while undergoing a lot of uncertainties and comical situations, finally end in courtship. The prominent characters in the play include Puck, Oberon, Lysander, Hermia, Demetrius, Bottom, and Titania. A Midsummer Night’s Dream includes not only the two young couples, but also Theseus and Hippolyta apart from Oberon and Titania. Unlike most of Shakespeare’s other plays, the lovers in A Midsummer Night’s Dream face a much happier ending when, after much confusion, three marriages bring the curtains down on an extremely entertaining play.
